Synaxon UK is giving its members the opportunity to offer their end-user customers a way to dispose of redundant IT equipment and gain financially in the process.

As part of a new partnership, the channel service dealer group is working with Manchester-based Asset Remarketing which will collect old or surplus PCs, laptops, tablets, monitors and other hardware from any location in the UK.

Asset Remarketing MD Phil Steven says: “For resellers and their customers, the disposal of old IT equipment can be a challenge. We can take that headache away and even come and collect the kit right from their doorstep.”

According to the firm, much of this kit will have a residual value that can either be set against the cost of purchasing new equipment or exchanged for an agreed fee.

It claims to work with a wide range of public and private organisations across the UK, remarketing and recycling thousands of surplus and end-of-life IT products every year.

Asset Remarketing says products are refurbished and re-used, while other material is recycled or disposed of in accordance with regulations.

Mike Barron, channel director for Synaxon UK, reckons the new partnership enables resellers to deliver more to customers and increase their profits.

He says: “Partnering with Asset Remarketing gives our members the opportunity to profit from redundant IT equipment and add more value for their customers. It provides an easy and ethical way for them to get rid of old IT equipment.”
