Protect Plus M600 offers a unique combination of state-of-the-art technology, flexibility, efficiency and interactivity.

AEG Power Solutions, a global provider of power electronic systems and solutions for industrial power supplies and renewable energy applications, has launched Protect Plus M600.

The company says this new generation of modular UPS combines a highly flexible architecture with advanced electronic design, a smart user interface and power management system.

The Protect Plus M600 can start with a basic configuration of 30kVA and grow gradually up to 900kVA. Its state-of-the art technology provides high efficiency performance and maximised energy savings.

This, together with its scalability and compact footprint, makes Protect Plus M600 the system of choice to protect critical loads for data centres, transportation, retail or light industrial applications when energy consumption and power reliability are at stake.

The main advantage of a modular UPS is its flexibility. Thanks to its hot swappable modules and to the possibility to connect in parallel up to three cabinets (for frame 180 and 300kVA), Protect Plus M600 offers a truly scalable solution and provides the ability to add or remove power modules in the event of growth or decrease of the protected load.

Each power module has independent hardware and controllability, able to operate and coordinate with other modules within the system. The control of power modules connected in parallel is decentralised in the single 30kVA device. The omission of the master/slave architecture, eliminates  potential problems generated by the failure of a single power module. The common frames are available in three different dimensions: able to connect up to 6, 10 or 20 power modules (including redundancy).

Protect Plus M600 combines its modular architecture with the best transformer-less IGBT technology to improve the performance of the whole system. It reduces power losses, energy consumption and operating costs.

The UPS can reach the highest AC/AC efficiency levels available, of up to 98.5 per cent in Eco Mode. The flat efficiency curve above 35 per cent load will ensure maximum energy savings. The Idle Mode provides intelligent power management ability as it freezes automatically, and in rotation, the power modules not used to protect the critical load, thus increasing the overall AC/AC efficiency of the UPS.

The device is easy to use and maintain. Its infrastructure provides a unique platform for viewing and managing all parameters as well as historical events, as the UPS frame, the single module, the electrical system and the supplied load are all connected. Information about preventive or corrective maintenance is then easily accessible through the LCD touch screen display.

The large touch screen provides a simple, user-friendly interface which makes the system very easy to operate.

Protect Plus M600 is a unique combination of state-of-the-art technology, flexibility, efficiency and interactivity, explains Alessandro Nalbone, product manager, AEG Power Solutions. In addition to all its specific advantages, the product also benefits from AEG Power Solutions’ expertise. It is compatible with the MoniUPS  remote monitoring system and, through it, customers can benefit of our service expertise 24/7 around the globe. “

Protect Plus M600 will be presented at booth D64 at Data Centre World in London on 12-13 April.
