Luminet's operations cover 400 sq. km. of central London including all of the City of Westminster.

Luminet has joined the Connect Westminster scheme.

The initiative is part of the newly launched Connected Voucher scheme that helps cover up to £2000 towards an SME’s one-off connection charge within the Westminster and West End Partnership area.

This latest news from Luminet follows hot on the heels of it announcing the sale of its 28GHz licence to Arqiva.

The Connect Westminster scheme is available now, and the voucher will be applied to the capital cost of the enterprise customer's broadband connection.

To qualify, the business grade connection must offer a minimum of 30Mbps and be capable of being configured or upgraded to support 1Gbps services. In addition, the supplier must complete the work within 28 days.

Luminet claims it is “uniquely” placed to support the Connect Westminster scheme. The managed services provider operates mainly in the capital, covering 400 square kilometres of central London including all of the City of Westminster.

“We are totally focused on the London market and pride ourselves on being a local company delivering connectivity to local businesses,” says Sasha Williamson, CEO, Luminet. “For the last ten years we have serviced thousands of companies across London with our wireless and fixed business broadband connectivity.”

Among the products the company offers is a 10Mbps to 1Gbps Clear Channel Wireless service delivered over the air which can be installed in 10 working days.

It also offers fibre internet that can be delivered as MPLS or VPLS and/or QnQ, and always-on internet which combines fibre and fibre-air services.
