ITS will offer Nutanix’s Enterprise Cloud Platform alongside its proprietary BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform.

Managed services provider IT Specialists (ITS) has teamed up with Nutanix to offer SMBs hyperconverged IT infrastructure from a single provider.

Under the partnership, ITS will offer Nutanix’s Enterprise Cloud Platform alongside its proprietary BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform. 

This includes managed services such as vaulting and data recovery, as well as BlackVault Guardian for network security and the protection of data stored in Nutanix’s cloud.

ITS says its customers will now have access to a fully outsourced hyperconverged IT infrastructure – including storage, compute, virtualisation, data vaulting, data recovery and network security – from a single provider. Nutanix adds that its platform also offers one-click management for data centre operations. 

As a result of the partnership, it’s claimed IT directors no longer have to buy hardware and management software from different vendors, since ITS will manage the entire infrastructure to enable customers to focus on their core business activity.

Matthew Kingswood, UK head of ITS, says: “Coupled with BlackVault, our customers can expect a significant reduction in capex and opex – Nutanix users are experiencing a 40 to 60 per cent reduction in these costs.”

According to Kingswood, many companies are now re-evaluating pure cloud implementations and increasingly adopting hybrid setups to address concerns around the cost of cloud computing and data privacy. 

“Through Nutanix and BlackVault, our customers receive the best of both worlds, with cloud-like agility, security and the reliability of on-premise solutions,” he says.
