A luxury development in the heart of Mayfair has broken a new record with the installation of the UK’s fastest broadband.

Residents of 77 Mayfair will now have access to symmetrical gigabit (1,000Mbps) broadband speeds.

Rohit Chadha, MD at property developer Luxlo, says having the UK’s premium and fastest broadband was essential to give an "added finesse" to the 77 Mayfair experience.

“With a gigabit connection, our residents can get the best out of their technology and gadgets – audio visual teams have been into the apartments to ensure that systems are ready for the residents arrival,” he says.

FTTP provider Hyperoptic enabled the connectivity. The company’s head of property David Walker says: “We developed a bespoke solution for Luxlo and also ensured that the development is future-proofed for advances in technology; even the car park has been connected so the residents can be the first to fully enjoy the connected car experience.”

As well as claiming the record for the country’s fastest broadband, 77 Mayfair also broke a record last year with prices of almost £7,000 per square foot.

According to Luxlo, all details of the boutique development have been designed to ensure an “unparalleled luxury living experience”.

As well as dedicated underground parking, there is also around 3,000 square feet of exclusive resident amenity space which includes a luxury leisure spa, swimming pool, gymnasium, hair salon and secure storage, all of which are managed round the clock by a Harrods concierge.
