VIA Voice is claimed to offer a cost effective and highly efficient alternative to a traditional telephony network.

Bombay Duck has installed a new cloud-based communications system in an effort to significantly improve the way its staff work alongside each other and their customers.

More than 1,000 stores, from London to Tokyo, are said to stock the company’s distinctive homeware and lifestyle products. As a result, its team spent substantial time liaising with different retailers across the world.

They decided to replace Bombay Duck’s traditional phone system with a managed cloud-based platform from business telephony and communications specialist VIA.

VIA Voice operates over the internet and supports unified communications. It therefore allows employees to talk, IM, email and video chat across a variety of devices, such as landlines, smartphones, PCs and tablets.

The platform incorporates Skype for Business and also has a number of additional features. These include what VIA describes as an “easy-to-use” conferencing facility, and an ‘automated attendant’ so incoming calls are routed to the correct contact in a “professional” manner.

The vendor adds that by using its communications solution, Bombay Duck is also able to seamlessly share documents and data whilst on a call, leading to gains in efficiency.

VIA Voice has helped our team to communicate more efficiently and work more productively, especially when dealing with overseas customers,” says Bombay Duck company partner Laura Burch. “It is immensely beneficial to outsource the support and maintenance of the system to a company we can trust.”
