Outsourcery, one of the UK’s leading providers of cloud-based IT and communications (ITC) business solutions, needed an advanced cloud platform to support demand for hosted services. The company deployed a scalable virtualised server and storage platform based on an HP Converged Infrastructure approach. The solution supports business growth while lowering total cost of ownership.
Outsourcery quickly recognised the growth potential of cloud solutions to deliver more cost-effective services. Between 2007 and 2010, Outsourcery saw cloud-based services revenue grow from zero to more than £5 million, and it believes this income stream will increase substantially over the coming years.
As part of a long-term business development strategy, Outsourcery decided to invest in an advanced cloud platform and two modern data centres to support demand for hosted services using virtualisation technology. Ensuring the success of this business strategy has proved an interesting journey.
